Jurassic Park - The Beer Collection! Part I

In honor of the re-release of Jurassic Park in theaters this April (in 3D no less), I have put together some beer recipes to celebrate this event. The Jurassic Park franchise has been an important film series to a whole generation of paleontologists, myself included. Of course, beer is an inspirational beverage to many people in general, paleontologists included!

Here is the first entry in my Jurassic Park Beer Collection Recipes! Enjoy!

3.3 lbs Amber LME
2.5 lb Amber DME
1 lb Caramel 80L
1 oz. Willamette (bittering)
0.5 oz Willamette (flavoring)
1 sachet of ale yeast

1 Pasillo chili pepper (dried)
1 Guajillo chili pepper (dried)
1 Ancho chili pepper (dried)
1 cup vodka

Soak chilies in vodka for one month. The dried chilies will absorb ~1/3 cup of vodka, yielding 2/3 cup chili extract to be added at bottling.

Recommended Food Pairing: Mexican, Thai.
